4/1/08: April Fool’s Day
So now you know it is April Fool's Day, and I cannot fool you. I am not trying to fool you anyway. I try to be as honest as I possibly can. Here is the most blunt I can be: We need to get the money in for Tuscarora because it is going to be the awesomest and bestest time of all time. I do realize that awesomest and bestest are not really words, but words cannot describe how cool it is going to be to have Shawn Harper speaking for the weekend. Nor can I muster up the courage to even try to explain how perfectly sweet it will be having comedian Ron McGehee doing stand-up Friday night. And don’t even let me get started on how fantastic Tenth Avenue North
No, I wouldn't even dare try to fool you about how nice it is going to be this Memorial Day weekend at Tuscarora Inn, May 23-26, 2008. Then again, you would only be fooling yourself if you didn’t get on board and sign up for this event, because it is going to be a rip-roarin', guns-a-blazin', out-of-control nasty, explosion of fun and awesome sickness praisin' the Lord with crazy rave parties in the dorm rooms, water balloon co-ops, and our coveted Memorial Day Weekend Talent Show. Who knows? Maybe Justin will even do another skit this year! It is your job to tell me you wanna go, it is my job to make sure you get there. $200 total; I will do everything in my power to help you get there no matter the problems you are having.
I hope to see you Wednesday or Sunday. Peace.

3/22/08:
As we wait patiently for the Lord’s resurrection, we find the sense of hopelessness the disciples and followers of Christ must have felt when they lost their Leader. As we reflect on our sin, the actions that separate us from our Abba, we leave them at the foot of the cross, thanking Jesus for what He did. We also look forward to celebrating what we know is to come - Our Risen Lord! Hallelujah!
We have already had a great holy week thus far, and I am looking forward to the Easter Vigil tonight, the lock-in, and the formerly-dreaded 6am Sunrise Service. My hope is that you will receive peace and love through our Risen Lord this week as we celebrate His last days and His resurrection.
"Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation!" (2 Corinthians 6:2b)
